2010/05/09 - How I feel about my gender. I consider myself mainly androgyne and genderqueer. I don't consider myself FTM.

Wow, the sunlight makes it looks like my hair is bleached blond on top in that frame. I did actually have my hair like that once.

  • Hello, I'm an androgyne (biologically female) who wishes to look more masculine. Unfortunately, I was 'blessed' with completely feminine features - soft, oval face; large eyes; big lips; hourglass shaped body. However I'm taking it in steps. I'm looking to get a binder eventually. You mentioned you'd preferred to no longer menstruate? For the past year I've been taking lybrel which is a birth control you take every single day and, thus, get no periods ever. It's extremely convenient for me.

  • @Bekll Thanks for the info. I don't feel comfortable with going on pills at this time, but perhaps someday.

  • you r soo brave to say this on utube :) i am also nongendered and i no that it is sooo hard to live with, u rock :) gender is weird, there are more and more ppl who r becoming non gendered, i think its evoloution

  • @thedrummerization I don't feel brave - luckily, no one hassles me about my gender or lack thereof. But thanks, and nice to meet you.

  • i think you're beautiful! Gender is largely a mental construct. We're all just spirits. You're amazing in your ability to define for yourself who you are. ESPECIALLY when it comes to gender since our ideas about it are so deeply ingrained. My advice to you, embrace and celebrate the wonderful uniquesness that you are. You're refreshingly original!

  • I think that being androgyne is the perfect state. It's weird to depend on another self to be complete. I've read that the first creature was androgyne and had extrasensorial habilities. Then extraterrestrials with an agenda separated the sexes and created havoc out of it. Don't you wonder why is it that there are countries, specially arab and african, where they remove the clitoris from women. Is this a way of preventing the androgyne to come back?

  • I got buggered by the genderqueer thing. I'm sexually male, and I realised gender was a form of control, inherently dishonest. So instead I decided I'd be completely honest to myself, and forsake any notion of gender.

Only problem is, I found out that my personal impulses actually fit really well into typical masculine archetypes. I don't think liking makeup really separates me all that far. I was almost disappointed:p

Anyways, just like me, whatever feels right is right. I think it's cool

  • Well done for saying how you feeel. You're not alone.

  • @Darkoshi Sure thing. Just wanted to let you know. Very few people know about lybrel.
