@ralatorre9 Ah yes..my bad. I forgot this video was for the more "powerful" Cobra not the GT. Bald nittos still provide more traction than the Camaro's tires, and it's a bolt-on top of the line Cobra against a stock V6 Camaro. The fact that the Camaro was even close at all is embarrassing and tells me my LS3 would run away from this pos.
@TheBulldawg4life there is no "mustang gt" in this video or DR s, but there is a 99 cobra with bald street nittos. People have been trying to talk some sense into you but your camaro fanatic antics just wont allow it. The v6 camaro lost by some cars. That's all there is to it.
@ralatorre9 I would say a stock V6 keeping up with a bolt-on DR Mustang GT is an ass whooping. Also, the comment you're referring to was probably in response to MileHighSnake who was under the impression his '98 Mustang would be even reasonably close at 1320 ft. with my '10 Camaro SS
@TheBulldawg4life You said this video shows a v6 camaro "beating" an old cobra.... i'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're blind and typing by touch or somehow you can't play the youtube video displayed above. HAHA
@Storm7289 I expect pretty much exactly what it gives out lol. DOHC is slightly more technologically advanced, but OHV is slightly more moddable. It's just a matter of what you like, ovals or bowties.
@TheBulldawg4life yes id like to repeat the same statement to you. but hey what do you expect from youtube. cams are a royal bitch on dohc mod motors... well not on the 4.6's anymore since theyre not that expensive now, but yes it takes a lot of work and cash for a set. everyone knows small quad cam and big ohv have their highs and lows i dont see that changing soon either
I don't mean to seem so ornery...just some of the Ford fanboys on youtube have pissed me off lately, kinda made me take it out on everyone. You're obviously a smart guy, and you seem to know what you're talking about. I called you a kid because I call everyone kid (regardless of age), not because of your age.
The biggest problem I have with the DOHC motor is that swapping cams is SO expensive, and they don't really give as much advantage as is you swapped the cam for the LS3.
@TheBulldawg4life fine by me i wouldnt even think of driving that far to buy a car .well yes besides full exhaust intake and tune me neither except anyone who s/c's their car since the aftermarket is limited for the 5.0 nothing extreme except for some basic cams and the boss' manifold and heads. but the ls3 has readily available head cam swaps that net very large. i see price as a big determent
@TheBulldawg4life Cool bro.
