Titanic and her 2 other sisters were built at the same time. So therefore they didn't know of Titanic's sinking until she sank. Then they refitted the HMHS Brittanic to become ''Unsinkanle'' (again).

Don't forget the 10 million that died in WW1. I think their deaths are more worth remembering than a few hundred on ships

2014 is the centennial of the start of WW1.Since that war shaped most of our history,ended imperialism,lead to women having the rights to vote,and led to both the Depression of the 1930's and WW2 with 60million dead, I'd say we'd better remember those horrible wars and study what caused them before we get a WW3 because people were too ignorant & learned nothing from history

Titanic just had her Centennial. Now, in 2015 will the Lusitania's, & in 2016, Britannic's.
