i'm glad they closed the humanities section. It was a waste of taxpayer funds.

this is typical of QUT, having worked at QUT in the past i can tell first hand that the upper management is rude, arrogant and self centered. they can not face negative comments about the university. on top of this the university lacks various basic resources.

Actually Brad, I'll make allowances for your ignorance on this issue since you don't go to QUT, but this particular security guard has a history of making homophobic comments directed particularly towards queer student activists and so the student's comment was, in context, correct. Perhaps your time would be better spent tracking down those lab coats..

As much as I support saving humanities at QUT, I didn't hear a queerphobic slur from the guard and saving humanities isn't a queer-specific issue, so I don't think that being ushered away could be construed as a homophobic 'attack' by any stretch of the imagination.
