  • @BonusCivis- how unfortunate for you that's all you got from the video...but to each it's own. However to insinuate that I need to "love myself more" and then go further to say any AA who doesn't know that most AA's are mixed sounds not just presumptuous to me but also pompous! When you ask someone if they are "mixed" they usually think on terms of their immediate relatives (Mother/Father). Both of those parents can be of the same race but that doesn't mean generations past are not of mixed her

  • Exactly!

  • @LivingREEdefined Please learn to love yourself more. Never measure yourself by other peoples standards. The only thing I got out of this is that Blacks are the most racially and culturally confused people on the planet.

  • When someone says "mixed," that alone does not tell u anything about what they're mixed with. They may as well say "black" & tell the details later. Technically it's the same thing. If u look at someone who appears mixed, u can guess, but u don't know what the mixture is. So calling them mixed is an obvious yet kind of useless label. But in our society blacks r given numerous reasons to be ashamed of what they r. So I have to wonder about the trend to move away from it in favor of being "mixed."

  • There's always going to be incompetent doctors. Unfortunately that's what u were dealing with. Funny thing is mixed people (mixed w/ white & non white) may call themselves the non white side or mixed. They will almost never call themselves white. No one would go for it. There is still the mindset that black, Asian etc. can look mixed, but mixed looks will not be accepted as white. The 1-drop rule still plays out. In that sense, "black" is more inclusive. It was never about pure blackness anyway.

  • Good video

  • Hello, I have read what Jaylove 47 but i am somewhat agreed with him but he cannot judge on people's nationality or ethnicity. if biracial people want to be white then be white, if biracial people want to be black then be black, if biracial people want to be mixed then be mixed. why does it matter anyway? people have their choice and let them label themselves.
