The end of a productive evening. The MCs finally record their rhymes. Poah dropped his in one take. The rest of the group have respect for his spitting abilities, but they all recognise and support each other's creative talents. This clip shows the end of a long process of writing lyrics from scratch expressing the rappers' feelings and observations about London (done as part of the London Philharmonic Orchestra's Excite project telling the story of London). Composer Eugene Skeef and sound engineer Matthew Moore co-led the workshop with young MCs and beats-makers who attend the Oasis youth club on Lambeth Road, London.
While Matthew guided the young lions in the techniques of "live" recording (a first for these electronic wizards), Eugene inspired and guided them by playing his udu (Nigerian women's clay pot drum).
