"This is about television itself...There's been too much pain already, it can't go on."
Hobart Pavement Projects, supported by Tasmanian Theatre Company, presents
DEATH BY TELEVISION
After being part of a studio audience Phineas finds that his life is falling apart. Confused as to why people no longer seem to like him, he encounters the mysterious Evelyn Kalasky, a personal injury lawyer. She takes him to Dr Silk, who diagnoses him with Schoenberg's Syndrome, a condition still unrecognised by the psychiatric establishment. Phineas's neural pathways have been 'scrambled,' and it's all television's fault. Egged on by Evelyn and Dr Silk, Phineas decides to take on the Network, to make them pay for what they've done. He has no idea how ruthless the forces of popular entertainment can be...
If you're a pop culture geek with a dark sense of humour you won't want to miss this! It's theatre about TV, via cinema.
