  • There is only one Mark King, there is only one Jaco, there is only one Stanley Clarke.

  • @bluespirat No, he just enjoys the tasty mintiness of gum whilst delivering the funk.

  • That riff at 1.13, it floored me. There are many, many good players, but Mark King is still one the few who is always on my bass mind.

  • Dunno which planet Mark comes from but surely not ours. Unreal.

  • Semi-inventor of the slap pop styl of bassguitar playing King's bass playing style is largely based on continuous 16th notes (aka semiquavers), sometimes described as "machine-gun" style. This "machine-gun" style consists of playing rapidly using a combination of thumb slaps, pops, hammer-ons, and fretting hand slaps.

  • @gianfrancospagnulore I am an UBER Mark King fan, he is my favourite bassist of all time. But even I disagree with rating Mark and Jaco against eachother. It can't be done. They're two completely different bassists.

  • mark king n1......jaco pastorius n 2

  • n1 mark king...n2 jaco pastorius

  • n1 mark king, n2 jaco pastorius, mark is the best in the world!!

  • @coolhand1966 Well said!
