  • Using chisel may seem slower, but I think it depends on the one working on the notch, and how he controls the chisel. It'll take some time shaping the log until its completely scored.

  • very slow method , after 31 years of fullscribe I have found scoring the line with a razor knife is much , much faster and does a better job of maintaining the mark , chisels are outdated as heck

  • Зачем загонять стамеску так глубоко ??? Ведь для того, чтобы края не лохматились, достаточно ножом прорезать черту на пару миллиметров. А так и времени уходит много...

  • Quite a labor intensive process. Imagine how long it took to build even a small cabin before the advent of modern machinery!

  • great video and good info. that's the way I was taught to chisel a notch. hopefully when I make my cabin i can make them as clean as yours.
