Husnbazaar: Manto Ki Auratein

T'he Theatrewaley' presents 'Husnbazaar: Manto Ki Auratein', produced by ECHO, India to be staged on 28th January 2012 at Lamakaan, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Directed by Aditya Majumdar and scripted by Sneha Nair, this play is an adaptation of 3 short stories written by Sadaat Hassan Manto: Mozail, Kali Shalwar, Sau Candle Power Ka Bulb and deals specifically with the 'fallen women' as depicted by Manto in his stories.

the music bears a very striking resemblance to Pandit Ravishankaar's composed background score for Satyajit Ray's flick Pather Panchali........but this rendition (if at all one) is really soothing to ear.........
