@dannyp206 no its not that, its just that the alien race has the exact same super powers as them!
there is also the implication in the comics that these powers are . . . gained through medidation, or scientific experiment . . . that he gained these powers in his hundreds of years of solitude on mars!

@rumblefighter07 Superman is extremely humble and I'm assuming by stronger he meant more dangerous due to martian manhunter having more powers. Jon lost to doomsday and could not fight darkseid, enemies that have both been bested by superman

Let me clear this up: superman is the strongest and most powerful of the league and at full power the strongest being in the universe even stronger than darkseid, manhunter is close to supermans strength, wonder woman isn't even on par with the two

An Alien invasion wiped out a whole race of HIM? He has super strength, shape-shifting, and all these other powers... What did they have? Sorry if this is ignorant but I really want to know how the Martians lost...

@WillyTung Maybe he & his folks arent that incredibly strong when they're on Mars. Just like how Kryptonians aren't so strong in their home planet b/c its got red sunlight. I mean its NOT easy to invade and destroy a race whose ppl have superman-like strength and powers, ie. ppl who can move planets like size of earth. The martians must really not be that strong on their home planets.
