History of MegaMan, MegaMan X, and Zero

Many people believe that the original MegaMan and MegaMan X are the same robot. This hasn't been proven. Dr. Wily created Zero, who spread the Maverick Virus to Sigma. Sigma then became the leader of the Maverick Reploids.

This video is useless It doesn't give you any info, its just video clips over a tool song. I would expect someone talking over it about the origin of mega man but that would be too much to ask for i guess

According to Keiji Inafune, the series' creator, Zero didn't destroy anyone of the original series.

MMX6 - Dr. Wily returns again as ISOC, he created High Max to test Zero. He enhances Gate by giving him some of Zero's data. Isoc is defeated by Zero and then he says what the original Dr. Wily said "Go Zero, you are the strongest ROBOT" (not reploid or maverick)

aside from that, im sure Megaman Zero does NOT continue from megaman X even those it says it does because theres a serious plot hole in it which makes that impossible

MMX2 - Dr. Wily returns as Serges and plans to re-create Zero and to "fulfill his prophecy" (zero being the strongest robot)

MMX5 - Maverick Virus source is found and enhances Zero making him uncontrollable and powerful (he is defeated by X using Dr. Lights enhancements, most likely ultimate armor) then later his body is destroyed by Sigma.

Sigma also states that "HE" (dr. wily) helped him find his new ultimate body

X is made using part of the original Megaman's data, thats why he is the ONLY reploid that is part human (watch day of sigma)

Dr. wily created Zero using Bassium and the "new substance" (the maverick virus) which made his the strongest robot, but he was uncontrollable so they somehow locked him away (at the cost of Megaman's body most likely)

MMX - Zero is awakened and transfers the virus to Sigma causing him to become maverick

at the beginning of megaman x1 it session he was never activated until 20 years after dr lights death and in the megamans dr light was alive and in the x`s he wasn't so there u go its all the professional u need to show that they are 2 different one and plus megaman was an androud not a reploid dr light just give x megamans memories

X is not the original mega man, as far as I am aware.

Axl could not be Bass, as he was a prototype for a new reploid design

Zero is not protoman; he was created by Wily as his last and greatest creation. It seems he was intended to be X's greatest rival....

I am not familiar with the Zero series much; I cannot comment on Weil.
