GLG Xbox Live Ban

Microsoft has banned an estimated 1,000,000 users from Xbox Live. This was done in effort to curb playing pirated 360 games on LIVE with modded 360s. Is this good for the industry?

If you modded your console and logged into LIVE then you deserve the ban. The Terms of Service clearly states you can not use a modded console on LIVE. You might not get caught right away but they will get you eventually

A majority of the banned users were the Chinese. They get most of their 360 games through not so legal means

Well right now there's a "unban" fix going around the 'net. People will most certainly get their modded consoles back on LIVE. It's just a matter of time. This will be a constant battle for Microsoft

I mean people should be banned right away as well when they cheat or glitch or cheat online. because the majority of gamers out there are glitchers and cheaters...they dont even want to fucking play the game...

whats the fun of glitching out of a map when you have to exit to the main menu or shut off the console? sounds like you can save that energy for owning online

i was pushed into getting mine flashed i was banned from live with no flashed box no bad bio an no reason at why i had a ban!!! so the next day i bought a new xbox an had it flashed a year an half down an 300 pirated games later im still going strong , they ban me ill buy another xbox tomoz an flash that cheers for the first ban microsoft u have now saved me thousands lo

i dont understand about people complaining about the cost of games. you got to pay to play. thats like complaning about gas prices when you drive a mustang hummer or any of those other gas guzzlers. you know what you were getting into. microsoft is nicer than me cause i would corrupt hdd of modders

MS are greedy. They deserve it.

1, Microsoft shuts down the streaming and HD function too when banned.

2, Games cost too much. That's why people download.

3, Microsoft charges for LIVE. Why? Private servers run for free.

A great thing is open source games. They will win and MS lose.

I hope MS gets ruined. Games will always exist.

I played it about 2 hours or so ago but only for a little while so I didn't notice any glitching or cheating going on. To be honest I don't play MW2 that much anyway as I'm not that impressed with it even if you were to take the glitching and cheating that goes on with it. In my opinion, I feel the perks and weapons have gone too far in mw2. The killstreaks just take the biscuit. I've seen loads of modding and glitching in WAW though.
