Monty on the run rock cover

Cover of Monty on the run game tune created by 8-bit musical genius Rob Hubbard. Arranged by Press play on tape (with a few changes). The backing track is mostly done by myself, but I confess to borrowing some odd bits and pieces from various MIDI versions of Monty. Backing guitars and some keyboards were recorded live.

This is how it was performed live 5.2. 2005 on the Bytefest 2005 retro computers convention in Prague, Czech Republic (along with Commando and Warhawk). Sorry for the mistakes and such (and there are plenty), my playing is a bit sloppy. Oh, and as for the part about 4:00-4:13, the higher of the two notes is actually played out of fretboard, that's why it sounds so bad :)

I hate Utube, I just tried to make the point with other people that this is bloody good, no cuts, no camera shite, just you playing the bloody song, as you stated. And I was banned from stating that your version was better. How sad is that???

Gimme a few hours and I'll make it look like I've just invented the world.

I personally like the spin this has on things. It isn't SPOT ON (but pretty damned close), but that makes it sound less choppy at the parts where the notes are a bit slurred. All in all, what I'm saying is that it's a very nice rendition. Love it.
