@ecuamario seagates are crap, their like ticking timebombs that can go off at an time...i had 2 fail alredy :(

hi, i just bought a macbook pro off of ebay, and it seems like the guy upgraded it from 320gb to 500gb seagate hard drive, do u have any experience with seagate? are they reliable? is my 3year applecare useless now?

Tried to uppgrade the HDD of my Macbook Pro too today, only to be stopped by the fact that my Torx scewdriver wasn't small enough to get the two ones beneath the RAM shield. Good thing I didn't get any further than that as the HDD is stuck to its bracket with 4 more of those bastards. Going to have to go to the store to get a samller Torx screwdriver on monday then...

Wow I'm surprised by how difficult they made it to access the hard drive. With my Dell it takes about 30 seconds to get to the hard drive.

oh it seemed like a lot longer
but it would have been pretty funny if when you were done you forgot to smile and give a thumbs-up to the camera.

Can I upgrade to a bigger hard drive at an Apple store?
I don't mind paying more to stay under my warranty.

naw i checked into this awhile back, apple won't swap it out for anything. And yes, it definitely voids the warranty. Nowadays though you can purchase this same hdd already built in.

well most everyone is gone, and I wanted a faster/larger internal hdd. The elapsed time was only about 52 minutes.
