****I like the way he makes the distinction between peace and tranquility. From my own personal experience I know that peace is a "presence" . A place can be tranquil but it does not necessarily mean it is peaceful. ****

We'll get there, sooner than expected.

@13314u that is the most excellent question... we have a long history, longer than we've been told... think, who writes the history books? He holds some power... the ones who want the power will do 'anything' to keep it. In love and peace.

we should organize a mass meditation in a huge field somewhere focused on unity and see if it has a nice ripple effect... thumbs up if you would go :)
First I love David Lynch, his films have been favorites of mine for years and years. Secondly I am a an ardent yoga practitioner and believe what they are saying. But moreover, I find it ironic that David is this proponent for peace but makes such horrific and violent movies. Furthermore based off of those facts I find it even more ironic that I enjoy his films but believe in peace.

He talked about that at the David Lynch weekend here in '06 -- check out the video "Darkness and Light." Mr. Lynch will be hosting a Visitors' Weekend here, Nov. 13-16, 2009 -- you can ask him about it then if you like.

@jcolona1 I too am a David Lynch film fan. Many people are shocked when I rave on about Blue Velvet. I think I interpret it in a different way to many others. I see it as being about innocence versus corruption, with innocence the victor. That's why I love the film, & I''m sure that was his thinking when making that film. Only person I've found who agrees is my brother. When I've shown it to people, they think I must be a secret psychopath. You'll agree that it explains his interest in peace.

@flumoxed38 You might want to watch Mr. Lynch's video "Darkness and Light," where he talks about why his films are so dark.
