Chega de Saudade (Jobim/Moraes) - performed by Gurgur & jazzviolao

this is my first attempt at puppeteering, so... not a lot of nuance here. the song is 'chega de saudade' by jobim and moraes. i performed and recorded it and then had gurgur do the lip syncing/air guitar (that's not quite air guitar, though, is it?).

the translation is mostly culled from the english wikipedia translation, with some minor variations. it certainly isn't a poetic masterpiece, or even very accurate - just a rough idea.

gurgur was only two days old when he recorded this (his father is an overactive imagination and his mother is a three day weekend). i'm so proud of him, even if he occasionally moves his mouth out of time with the words (he's still learning). he's a big fan of joão gilberto's music.

Portuguese Quiz, note: "saudade" is the same as " missing someone or something". When u miss someone you´re feeling "saudoso" = " having 'saudade' of that person".

ex: I miss you = Eu sinto saudades de você( I'm feeling saudades of you).

When Gurgur says: ...chega de "saudade"... it means: enough of this "missing feeling". Got it?
