San Soo is NOT San Shou !!, this is a very common mistake by Chinese speaking people who translate san soo literally into manderin, Jimmy H Woo called the art San Soo after having called it karate kung fu in the early 60`s for the bennifit of all those ignorant of what kung fu was at that time, the real name of the art is tsoi, li, ho, fut, hung. after the five family`s of the art take a session in ant real San Soo School and you will soon appreciate the massive difference between the 2 arts!!

twenty or so years ago there was a san soo demo done for TV by a instuctor in a wheel chair .I wonder if anyone remember seeing it. I t was the first demo of san soo I had seen . What bwas his name ?

On the streets of my town, my rep preceeds itself. I have destroyed instructors from many arts on the streets, bars, and clubs all over town. I was a menace to the martial arts and gang worlds. Internet drag queens like you get stuck up and beat the fuck up on the street. I hate stupid "karate geeks" like you, pure theory and no practice. San Soo is pure, distilled violence in its truest form, and Dave Hopkins is one of the best instructors ever to grace it. So fight or shut the fuck up, queen.

lol @ss5dojo....wow what a completely foolish person you are. I once saw a guy from a BJJ school pull off a miraculous flying armbar on a gang member outside a nightclub....only to get his head kicked in by the gang dude's homies. It was hilarious. BJJ is a fun SPORT. Not a street art in any sense. I used San Soo effectively for years and years on THE STREET where it matters, not a pansy ass tournament, ring, or octagon. The streets of EL Paso are littered with San Soo victims, boy, go practice.

BJJ is a joke. San Soo would pull out their eyes and nuts while the BJJ princess was trying to get them in "the guard." San Soo has no rules and would devastate BJJ very easily. BJJ is one of the worst methods of self defense known to man.

@MightySunTzu Man your right.... This art is on the anger side. I took this art long ago and never notice what was so different. I knew something was odd tho. Good point. There is a Kung Fu place here close to my house. And it's all about harmony and peace. And the moves put the person down in a save way. And let you control the other person but not kill them. I don't know why I never saw that in SAN SOO before reading your post.
