Statistically speaking, frac'ing is a very safe process. Compared to driving cars or even flying planes, its safety record is quite respectable. I challenge frac'ing opponents to all stop driving motorized vehicles entirely (ahem, which run off fossil fuel) since they are statistically more life threatening than drilling operations.
@xgilxx Go read up! No they have profits in their minds not you! There is no documented case because no enovironmental agency is allowed to regulate the industry. The oil companies lie, some states are colluding with these companies so ofcourse there is no evidence. But go watch videos That people have posted of their own drinking water. This guy says its not new, yes but the technique they use now is new and the chemicals which they are using are dangerous. they get away because of no regulatio
Guys, this is a major issue that everyone is really looking at closely... I mean 3077 hits!!! wow!!! compared to the new justin bieber video this is obviously a really important topic... I believe the government has our best intentions in mind and Big Oil is there to protect and take care of the land and environment. they employ lots of people and are actually really nice people...
Methane is important for electrical generation by burning it as a fuel in a gas turbine or steam boiler. Compared to other hydrocarbon fuels, burning methane produces less carbon dioxide for each unit of heat released.
Methan is a byproduct from drilling because they hit pockets which are then released via the aquifer. So they just proved that they can affect ground water without even trying.
Dunkirk creek was a dumping ground for gas companies. They dumped polluted water into one coal mine as it drained into the mine next to it they pumped it into the stream as the coal company had an EPA permit, the mine is not in use except to dump contaminated waters from hydrofracking, of course there is no proof, we don't know what to test for. If it is so safe why do they not tell us what they are doing????

The best part of this video, aside from Sen. Inhoffe exposing the truth, is the sour puss the woman makes at the 00:37 mark when he toasts her.

@xgilxx if they were regulated it would make them change their ways and maybe make their operational costs slightly higher. Come on. THINK!

methane = a byproduct of drilling?
Methane is not toxic.
