"Funiculì, Funiculà" is the song that existed before "Italia" (this song), and it may have inspired Paul Lawler when he wrote this. Both "Funiculì, Funiculà" and "Italia" are real songs. One has existed for a number of years, the other was written (presumably) for a video game in 2006.
