Video of earthworms (aka) Nightcrawlers eating, drinking, swallowing, grabbing & moving objects to build and store food. Nightcrawlers build midden nests, to store food & protect its burrow entrance. More videos and class experiments with worm midden nests to come.

  • Thanks jerumd. I will be making educational videos (DVD) and Earthworm experiments of the educators. Pass this one on to your friends, My friends think I'm a

little crazy for my hobby of videing worms. I figure If I don't just do it some one else will become the expert to talk with Nat. Geo & Discovery. Good DAY.

  • Hes adorable! Did u name himz?

  • I always watch a couple of my feeder earthworms eating & nibbling a couple of rotting leaves that i collect in my backyard. They tend to poke their heads out at night, looking for any rotting, edible, debris that they can nibble on. They are very sensitive to light that, they tend to withdraw their heads in a light beam!! Luckily, i can adjust my flashlight so that way i won't blind them. Cool video by the way :D
