GORDON GEKKO IS A DEMOCRAT
... Democrats have a beautiful system: They're showered with Wall Street money, but they also get to pillory Republicans for being the party of "Wall Street." The bankers don't care if Democrats attack them. They still get their bailout money.

Cheap Political Theater
No one pushed harder than Congressman Barney Frank to force banks and other financial institutions to reduce their mortgage lending standards, in order to meet government-set goals
Dodd and Frank know that the best defense is a good offense. Both know how hard it would be to defend their own roles in the housing debacle, so they go on the offensive
This political theater is in one sense cheap beyond words. In another sense, it is costly beyond words.

I agree with Hannity "This country cannot sustain this type of spending and survive."
But Ann needs to remember that (this is said pretty often but it needs mentioning.) The Bush administration did rack up a pretty huge bill with 2 wars on the books, and Obama would have a whole lot better time dealing with the recession if this was not the case. Which was partly due to deregulation again supported my Bush. So don't go blaming Obama on everything.

Fannie Mayhem -- this mortgage-bubble-based recession -- has nothing whatsoever to do with fighting back against the global plague of Muslims who are warring against all.
And those who were squealing like stuck pigs from the moment that America began defending herself after the Muslims slaughtered thousands of civilians on 9-11 are silent as church mice on Obama's 6 wars. Nor are they complaining that Obama is spending money we don't have at a rate that makes Bush look frugal.

Wall street is neither democrat or republican. they just flock to where the money is, and to whatever politician is willing to bend or break the laws so wall street and corporation make an extra buck at the extent of the people. And trust me there's more than enough politicians from both sides that do the bidding of Wall street. But at the current moment i completely oppose Obama's economic policy, although Bush got him into this mess.

That's just a wad of muddled, fuzzy folklore. It's easy to muddle all into one indiscernible mess.
If you acknowledge that politicians and "Wall Street" are as self serving as any other mortal, then the last thing you want to do is grant any of them more government authority, even by proxy.
With that realization, it's obvious that our nation's problems are worsened whenever a Liberal succeeds and whenever a Conservative fails.
