How To install A Bike Rack on a Mini Cooper

I did a lot of research on what was the best bike rack to get for a mini cooper & the winner is the Yakima King Joe 2 . While the bike rack is cost effective ($135) the manual is lacking, so I thought I would share how to install the rack on your Mini Cooper properly. The yakima rack goes on quick, holds the bikes sturdy, prevents bike sway when driving and looks the best on the car. Thanks to the helpful sales staff at REI.

After having it on my mini for a while I think putting the bottom feet on your license plate it a better option and does not affect the paint on the bumper.

Thanks for the info! I remove the wheels from my 56 road bike and lay down the seats. The bike fits a little tight but it works!

Did you do research on the Yakima Quickback rear mount bike rack? Not sure the difference between yours and the Quickback.

Do you know the difference between a twist tie and a zip tie. You used zip ties dummy.
