this comparison is rubbish. He's clearly talking about non-violent offenders in the first clip and violent offenders in the second. You have my vote over whitman any day.

He's saying 'let's move the non-violent prisoners to cheaper places (half-way houses?).......and then he moots the whole thing by saying that there really aren't any non-violent prisoners! Clever.

The released inmates will just violate parole and come back to prison on a violation. Paroles got to do what paroles got to do. What we need to do is not make it so nice in prison so they dont want to come back. Prison is just boys camp now days.
We got Governor Jerry Brown to thank that for. He invented the Inmate /parole 602 appeal form. They can appeal anything and everything, and they do. Trust me.

Poizner was for NON VIOLENT criminals being released in the first clip, then he said on the talk show he is against VIOLENT criminals being released.
It was very specific. There is nothing 'weird' about what he said. It all lines up.
