Yosemite Valley, Heavy Traffic, Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday,5.30.10

This can not even start to convey how messed up the park was Saturday and Sunday. The traffic was backed up everywhere with long periods of gridlock. The Glacier Point and Hetch Hetchy Roads were closed for a time until more parking became available. Traffic was sometimes routed around El Cap Crossover as there was no more room in East Valley. The traffic was backed up from Bridalveil Falls, up Hwy 41 to Inspiration Point and then back through the tunnel and out. Folks were stuck so long in the tunnel they were complaining about the fumes.

Wow! Such a frantic pace. People seem to have forgotten how to just slow down and appreciate the beauty of such a wondrous place. Seriously, how did you manage to film such a smooth sequence? And the sound of the cars perfectly matches the images. Nice work!
