Good technique but I don't like the way she plaunches before hand. She is way to archy

Also, you will notice that the hips are up at the end of the swing vs. toe's up as in a flyaway. Again not "normal" for a tap, but considering what the goal is...shorten the radius. The performance on this video is excellent.

As a general rule that may be true, but in this case it is proper to throw the head back considering that the goal is to shorten the radius within the bars in order to flip and then catch the low bar in support position. if not, then the swing would tend to go too out and the gymnast would end up landing on the low bar in a painful way. The technique cannot be the same as the flyaway. Hope I gave you some insight into the skill.

I see more and more gymnasts doing that horrible arch thing coming out of a handstand like at :36. What IS that? Lack of power/strength?

uhhh ur actually teaching them to throw their head back at 1:24. thats wrong dont EVER teach gymnats to do that!

That is bad form on her Pak. she shouldn't need to throw her head out like she dose. I use to compete this skill and also taught other gymnast this move and have never ever needed to break form for myself or anyone else I have taught to do this skill.
