FFXI was an awesome game. Played it for a little over a year. Unfortunately it takes too much time, and there was way too much time spent sitting around trying to get a group started, and I just wasn't able to get as far into the story as I would've liked. :(

@griggins It's even more casual now. It's easy to get to level 99 and enjoy the story with 1-2 friends.

I came back to the game about a couple months ago and have started having fun again. After having played for almost 6 years straight, I got burnt out on waiting hours or even days just to get one invite. I had lost the fun I once had.

However, after coming back, I have started enjoying myself once again, which is pretty cool. I got my THF from 52 to 90 in a couple days, which would have taken me many months to even get that far. In the end, when I log on, I'm now having fun. :)

@griggins You should consider going back now. The game has been vastly improved with a level cap of 90 and unbelievably fast level ups. They've also removed the level restrictions on boss fights and CoP areas meaning you can get all story content done solo or with low man groups. I went back a few months ago and I've already gotten through way more than I did when I played years ago.

The day before my LS was supposed to fight this fight, the entire LS ran off to WoW. Oh wells.

my friends quit because of ffXVI coming out and i decided to quit to because my linkshell is empty and its pretty lonely

This song is played during my most favorite battle in the whole game, ive done it more than 20 times and I still love it. The music is amazing :D :D

When did you quit? the game is so much easier now and way more user friendly. You can get things done a lot faster, depending on what you are trying to achieve.
