I have nylon strings on here for now. This is something I've been trying to get my fingers to do for a couple of years now. I don't think they're fully convinced yet...
This uploaded at a very low volume for some reason. It's posted in a better form at http://thedeanfiles.blogspot.com/

  • I tried to learn the version by Tommy Emmanuel. There are tabs around online, have a look through Google for tommy emmanuel daytripper tab

  • What rendition of day tripper is this? Where can I get tabs or sheet music?

    Thanks

  • I know, I know! In my blog about this guitar I say the same thing. It's strung with nylons for now for a learning guitar for my wife. Great guitars, thanks for writing.

  • Putting nylon strings on a Harmony Sovereign is really wrong. For one thing the intonation is going to be off. And the tone is going to be kind of thin and weak because it's not going to drive the top right. They're fantastic guitars and a great vintage bargain these days. All solid wood (including some impossible to obtain species like 16 inch wide Honduran mahogany and Brazilian rosewood)

Hide glue and shellac finish. Adirondak spruce top. String it up with steel!
