I think the only TRUE difference between Joaquin and Johnny was their heights. While Joaquin is a shy of 5ft8 Johnny stood 6ft2. A huge height difference. Country singer Merle Haggard also commented that sometime, that Joaquin was "too short to play Johnny" but camera can fool us all. I think Joaquin did an amazing job anyway, the song, the passion, the acting yeah he did even look like Johnny Cash! RIP Johnny Cash and good look with the great actings Joaquin Phoenix!
