  • Did the judge have some kind of secret interest to making sure Terri died instead of letting her go home with the family who loved her and wanted to take care of her? I mean was the husband going to split the money he won from his lawsuit against the doctors with the judge? Terri was locked in and not brain dead. What kind of judge allows a woman to starve to death? What has this society come to?

  • I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO WOULD WANT TO STARVE TO DEATH!!! That is PURE EVIL!!!

  • its sad to see that for all you who think this is rite is retarded what if u were in this situation #people these days

  • @freemindedagnostic Exactly, Terri was out of it and every brain scan revealed that her brain was damaged to the point of being mushed up oat meal and had actually shrunken in size from the lack of neuron activity. Joni Tada (the woman in the wheelchair) only sustained a broken neck which left her a quadriplegic but had no effect on her mind or intellect so she was able to live mostly a normal life and be successful - Terri on the other hand was just a vegetable lol, bullshit

  • lol how can this host compare herself to Terri? B/c she's in a wheelchair?? She is able to talk, think & eat. NOT a vegetable like Terri. This documentary is such propaganda!

  • Also, the clips they are showing are just ridiculous. First of all, when it shows the clip where she "opens here eyes" on request...you don't see the 10-15 seconds where the Dr tells her to open her eyes repeatedly, and nothing happens. Then she opens her eyes spontaneously with no command. A cognitively intact person can do this on command.

There were around 6 hours of footage of Terri. Her family took the 6 minutes that looked like she was responding, and formed a video clip.

  • It doesn't matter that her family would have taken care of her. The whole point of the court case was to determine what SHE would have wanted, not what her parents wanted, or her husband wanted. This whole thing illustrates why it's so important to have a living will, otherwise your life is no longer in your hands.

  • i cannot listen anymore to this fundamentalist bullshit. it makes me sick hearing these nutbars supporting the suffering of a braindead person

  • I agree this is a case of murder but in the same aspect Terri was mentally not there anymore. Those movements that are being seen are involuntary movements. She was cognitive disabled meaning she could not think anymore. I believe that she should have been able to go home with her parents and live the rest of her life with them instead of with that snob who was just in it for the money. Whether or not she would have gotten better over time is the question that still remains.

  • Also I am good friends with a lady who had a traumatic brain injury just like teri. She was actually worse and she recovered.

  • But her brain wasnt gone. She was not brain dead. My grandmother was brain dead. There is a HUGE difference. When you are brain dead the brain is gone and not repairable. Terri was just disabled. They murdered her.

  • @averitas I'm not saying any of this is right. To be honest, I don't believe a word either side utters. The 2 main things that cloud everything - emotion and money - are all over this tragedy. I just feel for this poor girl. No one should have to die like that. I hope and pray that she WAS brain dead and didn't suffer as I fear she did.
