Town Hall: Uterus-Lacking Old Wingnut Concerned About Tax-Funded Abortions

An old wingnut expresses his outrage at the idea of his money being used to fund abortions under the proposed health care reform bill. Though he presumably (1) is past childbearing age; and (2) lacks a uterus in the first place, he is deeply concerned by what he views as this fact. Rep. Bobby Scott (D-VA-3rd District) explains to him that there is no need to specify in H.R. 3200 that taxpayer funds will not be used to fund abortions, as the Hyde Amendment, which does exactly that, is already federal law. Still furious and unconvinced, the wingnut insists that H.R. 3200 will doubtless override the amendment, as "it always does!" Rep. Scott calmly assures the man that H.R. 3200 will do no such thing.
