@KainHighwind19 Peter Gabriel pop music??? Hmmm..never considered his music 'pop' unless your considering 'Sledgehammer', 'Shock the Monkey'. It's his other stuff I find more interesting anyway but I don't think Genesis did well at all without him. Phil Collins did but Genesis sort of fell apart.

@KainHighwind19 both benefitted from the break up, phil collins was able to show his strength in songwriting and singing, and peter was able to pursue the music he loved and the causes he supports, such as womad and other charitable ventures

He was mostly did singing and lyric writing. Genesis were pretty well off without him. Both Genesis and Peter ended up doing pop music anyhow...
