A convoy of Verizon technicians and vehicles traveled up from Maryland to join repair crews in New Jersey on Thursday (Nov. 8). More than 1,200 employees from the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast are joining crews in New Jersey, Long Island and other parts of the New York City area to hasten restoral as commercial power is restored and Verizon crews can access Sandy-damaged facilities for the first time.
