Your videos are under-rated! I respect a man, like you, who has 'been and done' and really knows this stuff.
Thank you so very much for the videos.

@TheManFromAlaska Checkout "WW6VlflNbTU" and "GVw6vmuCCZ4" for good example of the use of a netting needle. Also "y2VxvJ4dIE0" for how to add/subtract meshes.

I made mines out of poplar, and cedar shims....

that is really good thank you

I just bought my net needle (plastic) out of a local fishing supply. It is about half the width of the whittled needle here. I could weave smaller net holes with it about 1/2". This one is wider and suited for bigger fish nets.

I have a relative knife just like this one a victorinox huntsmen. Thanks for the video, it was very informative. I found this a better knife review than most. Also thanks about the plantains.
Cool, but how the heck to you use it?

@TheManFromAlaska A net needle holds line so you can pass the entire length of cord through as you tie the knots. When you need more to continue tying you just let it slip off that center pin. There are a few videos on YT that show the process. I have yet to learn how to make nets, but the needles are fun to carve.

Thanks. I did this as a knife review. I got tired of seeing knife reviews that were all talk and no action so I decided to make a knife review in which I didn't say anything but used all the tools on the knife to actually make something useful. The only tool not used was the can opener.
