An Introduction to TLEN 5340: VOIP Network Design

The PSTN, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and cell phone service are going to co-exist for the foreseeable future. The telecommunications professional needs to have a basic understanding of how they function and interface. This course focuses on the fundamentals of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) and the Cellular Phone Network with emphasis on understanding the requirements for convergence of these networks.
