he seems really nervous when he's speaking. his voice was trembling and he was having a hard time catching his breath. when he's playing music, he seems to be at ease. he seems like a pretty shy, sensitive person, but it's endearing because he's such a good musician. music just pours out of him.

Good art takes a long time. Ben Folds Five had a 13 year break between albums, for a lot of reasons, but one is that it takes a long time to create great art. The fact that he has been working on that single song for six months, and it was still not done, says something about how much his art means to him, and his listeners.
