Mactavish was also fined $10,000 for his comments about McGeough after the game even though the NHL admitted he blew it. And seriously how do you see something that didn't happen and then be a prick towards the players trying to talk to you? Over officiating.

@therealsporadicaarmy Unfortunately, inadvertant whistles are unreviewable as well. Once that whistle blows, whatever happens on the ice is final. This call was inexcusible and the NHL not disciplining McGeough afterwards is further proof that the NHL is corrupt.

so why didn't the nhl official realize that it was a bad call and that the oilers were just given a goal? I don't understand how a bad call is allowed just because the dumbass blew the whistle for a BAD CALL!!!! if the call was bad then the whistle should be discounted

@lijdsbone. Your obviously as blind as he is cus its as clear as the sun is shining that it was a bs call. you gonna stand by the call that it was gloved? Here it is at 1:10 you can see plain as day his hand was on his stick NOT the puck. And just in case your confused MaGeough is not the ref that dropped the puck, MaGeough was on the other side of the rink looking through 3 other players and couldn't possibly see the play properly.

Wow this reminds me so much of the Ed Hochuli screwup at Mile High. I wouldn't say this is as bad as what happened in Denver, but they're VERY similar events. If Turco hadn't heard the whistle, he would have been better prepared to stop Hemsky's shot.
