It's funny because it does seem like a lifetime since MTV actually played music videos and featured great performances like this.

The only music videos MTV features today are typically choreographed dancers jiving to bubble-gum pop songs NOT written by the featured artist.

You're right... just look at Artie Lange from the Howard Stern show. He was perhaps the funniest guy among the whole bunch, and he went on many lucrative comedy tours.

But inside, he was lonely and (just like with Kurt) his heroin addiction had a stranglehold on him.

So the funny, charismatic Artie from MADtv and Howard Stern eventually ends up trying to kill himself [a couple years back] via stabbing himself in the stomach 12 times.

Luckily, he somehow survived his wounds. But you are right.

I'm sure if all depressed people hear this, their symptoms would completely alleviate. How wise you are. Please don't speak about depression and one's "right" to be depressed based off their geographical region or socioeconomic status... it completely invalidates those who do experience it.
