RC Fishing with a Traxxas Blast, and The RC Fishing Pole

My buddy Wally and I wanted to try fishing with remote control boats so we bought 2 rc boats, and 2 Fish Fun "RC Fishing Poles". I put my "RC Fishing Pole" on a Traxxas Blast rc boat. Wally put his "RC Fishing Pole" on the Ed Hardy remote control boat, (with a replacement white top on it).
We're in Michigan, the ice on the lake just melted a week or so ago.....and the water is still really cold!
We didn't have much luck with catching any fish, (I think because of the water temperature), but it was still a "blast". Speaking of a blast, I really liked this Traxxas boat I used, what made a big difference too is the 2400mah battery. Wally uses the line release pads, so if a big fish hit his worm, the line will disconnect, then he just reel in the fish with his fishing rod. I fished with line tied to the end of "The RC Fishing Pole", (I used a small hook though so I wouldn't catch too big of a fish), I just like pulling the fish in with the boat. The distance these boats take your line out is incredible.
In the video when Wally says his boat wouldn't work, it was our remote controller frequencies were the same so when mine was on his boat wouldn't work.

@DJFishinman I put a bigger battery in it, and it was more powerfull and lasted longer. I recommend a bigger battery too if you're fishing. I bought a 2400mah

That gives a new meaning to buzz bait:) What happens if you do catch a fish with the RC robot and the fish is heavy then the robot? what ever happen to the good old days with a pole and line? lol

@xesiria Well, that's what the line release's is for, fish hits, line disconnects from the boat, reel in the fish with your regular fishing rod. In that vid, I was going to use the boat to pull in the fish, thats different. I use a very small hook if I'm using the boat to pull in the fish.

That black and white boat was nice looking... Man I bet playing with the boat is just about as fun or funner than the fishing part! =)
