"As men have attempted to assess the Church at a given period of time, in many instances they have not been able to see its forward movement and potential. The growth of the Church, like the growth of grass or trees, has been almost imperceptible to the eye, but little by little, line by line, precept by precept, the Church has matured. "Simultaneous with the early development of the Church was a spirit of opposition and persecution. Wherever the tiny 'mustard seed' was planted, attempts were made to frustrate its growth. But notwithstanding all the efforts to destroy the work—even the murder of the Prophet Joseph Smith and his brother—the Church prospered and grew. There were those who thought the Church would fail with the deaths of the martyrs Joseph and Hyrum, but they did not perceive, as Daniel foretold, that this latter-day kingdom should 'never be destroyed' (Dan. 2:44). "Just before the Prophet's death, Brigham Young said, 'The kingdom is organized; and, although as yet no bigger than a grain of mustard seed, the little plant is in a flourishing condition' (History of the Church, 6:354)."

@fmeloexlds ...It is the Church of Jesus Christ.

@CTR831 Well, if it´s all the same with "all" religions, then why use it as propaganda to somehow fool their own people to believe they´re moving forward and growing stronger? Does the Mormon Church always have to use this kind of manipulation to inflate their own egos make the members even more proud of being the chosen ones who were better than everybody else in the pre-existence?

@fmeloexlds ... considering it is about the same with all religions, It is still a valid video. In the town i live there were four other chapels for various christian religions, all of them are now closed. those who do go travel to another town where one paster from a particular denomination, visits every second week to serve the combined denominations where as the LDS in our area have sunday service every week and more than theirs combined. And this is in Australia.

I´m sorry my deluded friend, but you growth rates have been going down for the last two decades. You might even have somewhat close to 13 million, but less than a half of that actually are considered active while even less go to a temple. That video is nothing more than propaganda to manipulate people to think the church is something it is not.

@ChristopherMillz It never was an organization. The church met from house to house, there were no buildings built specifically for the "church" to meet in. Most Christians down through the ages, including today, have had to forfeit their lives to remain true to Christ. Mormonism is a great example of people departing from the sound doctrines clearly laid out and preserved in the Bible. Mormonism is an apostacy, and an abandonment of the truth of the Bible.

@1stcorinthians1vrs18 But what happened to that organization? Paul warned that it would not be spared (Acts 20:29-31). Paul also said that sound doctrine would not endure and people would turn away from the truth (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Jude warned of apostasy (1:3-4).
The apostles and many saints were slain under the rule of Roman emperors. Constantine stopped it but took over the Church and changed it to fit traditional Roman beliefs. Sure, there were believers... but in what?

@1stcorinthians1vrs18 Christ created one Church. It had a foundation of prophets and apostles (Eph 2:19-21). The Bible says He called apostles, prophets, priests, bishops, deacons, elders, etc. Eph 4:11-14 says he called these people to offices to create "unity of faith" and not be "tossed to and fro". As God revealed information to the prophets and apostles, they communicated to other authorities by epistles, etc to pass on to their local congregations. Read the Bible. It was very organized.

@1stcorinthians1vrs18 Nowhere in Acts 1 does it say apostles had to be EYEwitnesses of Jesus life, death and resurrection. It simply says witnesses. A person can be a witness of Christ's life, death and resurrection without being an eyewitness. For example, the Holy Ghost bears witness to us and testifies to us the truth of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 12:3). In turn, we can bear witness of Christ's life, death and resurrection through the testimony we gain from the Holy Spirit.
