Man, it's your duty to tab this for fellow guitar players in this world! :)
Excellent playing, been listening to it several times. Great song and great performance. Best of luck to you!

Dude...You're excellent; you let each note ring as much as possible, your playing is clean and the rythm is respected,...respect!BTW where did you get the tab for the "goin' ahead" part? Ican only find a map of the world... :C
I've been playing guitar for 25= plus years and I've been a Metheny fan ever since, and I have to say I like this video.
Well done.
Only thing I don;t understand is why the capo? Pat played Map OF The World in a regular tuning, in the key of G.

Thank you. This was based on a concert version. Pat played it much faster, and on a soprano guitar, which is tuned up 4th. I decided to put capo on 3rd fret, as it's also a popular standard for many folk songs I like to play.

Thanks for the tip, Boonafurd, I'll definitely do that.

Especially "Map of the world" helped me understand that there's a huge difference in how it sounds when you let some strings ring for too short, or too long, play too loud, or too quiet. Not noticing those nuances simply makes your performance flat, and Pat is a genius playing all those notes so naturally, while it took me a few weeks to learn it to play like you can see above (which is far from being perfect, or even correct).

The first part is based on album version of Goin' ahead. Actually this song goes to improvised part quite fast, and I'm not really a jazz guitarist, so I've managed only to play a bit from the beginning and a bit from the end of this song. "Map of the world" was based on the concert version from "Speaking of now live" DVD. I've learnt both songs by ear, note by note in some parts :) The capo is on the 3rd fret, if you want the original pitch, it should be on 4th.
