I set this up for three sub-adult redfoot tortoises. I know I have to put up atleast one if not two more layers of wall brick. That and I was thinking about putting a few more river stones in the stream to help cover up the liner. But other than that I think it is finally done. Enjoy and please send me some feedback. :D

  • I'd like an outdoor enclosure...how do you keep birds from swooping down a taking the tortoises?

  • @mlbunch4

I bring them in at night and during the day they stay in the plants most of the time. One thing the birds dont like is my sprinkler system that is on a motion sensor. It will blast them if they get to close. But high enough that the torts are fine. Plus it helps keeping the humidity up.

  • Nice enclosure. Can Redfoot tortoises stay outside year-round?

  • @ronsimple

I wouldn't keep them outdoors at all around here because of racoons at night. But this is their daytime area, and love it. I need to update this video because the irish moss is growing like crazy and everything looks so natural and great for the redfoots. But thanks for the great comment.

  • Since I created this video I have removed any problem plants and everything is flurishing.
