CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Cam Newton broke Peyton Manning's rookie record for yards passing in a season and set a franchise record with a 91-yard touchdown pass to Brandon LaFell as the Panthers handed the Bucs their ninth straight defeat, 48-16 on Saturday.
Newton threw for 171 yards and three touchdowns and scored on a remarkable 49-yard run up the middle in which he outraced smaller defensive backs to the end zone.
The Panthers (6-9) scored on eight of their first nine possessions and piled up 397 yards in three quarters against the league's 30th-ranked defense. Coach Ron Rivera pulled Newton and the other key starters early in the fourth quarter.
DeAngelo Williams scored on runs of 8 and 22 yards, his sixth and seventh of the season, and Jonathan Stewart ran for 88 yards and caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Newton..

  • @omegamanGXE someone is showing their jealousy......typing Nigger proves what? the only thing you proving is that You don't have the balls to say that shit Face to Face.

You only type that shit safe behind the computer.

Be more creative with the slurs instead of using the same old words

  • Carolina's future right there. When that defense is healthy the Panthers are going to be a powerhouse football team.

  • @widudeisgod i dont think we are a shitty team, last year we were beyond shitty, the reason we have a losing record in the first place is becase of our Defense and we got hit hard with injuries this year, especially on the LB core. Great Offense + Shitty Defense = Shitty team?

  • Its a shame he has to play on such a shitty team, no offense to panther fans... But seriously. We can agree his talent could be put to much better use.

  • The only problem with cam this year was some careless turnovers. Not that he had a lot considering he was a rookie but the picks he threw were just plain bad decisions. I'm positive that won't be the case next year. If we use the draft to fix our once mighty now porous d (especially rush) we'll be in the playoffs for sure and it's only a matter of time before we get a title here in the Carolinas. That'll be a great great day.

  • it is purely insane & show that there are still dumb-asses in the world & yea I'm speaking to anyone that watches a athlete preform like Cam Newton or Tim Tedow does & all they can think of is the color of there skin

  • @AndreRedd1Empire white boys are mad he great

  • Panthers need to seriously need to sign this kid for the next 10 years

  • @AndreRedd1Empire I agree. Some many cowards on the internet.

  • @Efury852

i just mean that we obviously have differing opinions so there's no need to fruitlessly try and convince each other.

  • @NateHowl Oh certainly not. It takes me what...30 seconds to respond to one of this comments. So, it's certainly not halting any part of my day.

  • @Efury852

Okay, sure. It certainly isn't something to waste time arguing about.
