Of course it is not going to replace google... that was just a media exaggeration as usualy.
There is no reason why it should replace it, you didn;t make a poit what was necessary: google is search engine, wolframalpha is computational, knowledge engine.
You showed one example of search query, but you didn't show main power of W|A, which is ability to do a computations.

Wo00dy - agree with you about the media reporting and the fact that it was over-hyped. At the same time I think most average non-tech users - which is the group my blog is aimed at - can best understand what WA by comparing it to Google. They're two different beasts and I hope the video at least started to illustrate the distinctions....
