make sure your lights dont get within 2 to 3 inches of the plant just watch your plant if the leaves start curling or the tips go brown raise the light you may get some streching just add another light or just tie down your plants so they grow parallel with the ground if need be

the room should not be more than3 x 3 feet when useing 3 26 wat energy saver bulbs, the light color dont matter as much as you would think but white or blue light is better for vegetative state(growing leaves not flowers) and red or yelow light is better for flowering

plants unless they are tropical do not like temperatures abover 80 and unless tropical can take temps as low as 60 but the lower the temperature the slower it grows and it will turn your leaves different colors the hotter the temperature the more damage the plant takes and the slower it grows

if you have any q about growing just ask ill try and answer your q as best as i can

if your plant stops growing cause it's getting old durring the flowering stage you can turn the lights back and the plant will start growing at the bottom again but dont cut the top leaves off of the plant cause since they are close to the lights the growth at the bottom will be getting enuff light and wont streatch, this is good for cloaning or so you can start flowering again after the plant grows back without starting another seed

  • you know, there are those CLFS That are 20 watts but give off 100 watts(1150 Lumens) and i have a 30W that gives of the same amount of light as a 117 W (1700 Lumens) so combined 2850 Lumens. and these are only 2 bulbs. I find warm white light it awesome in compassion to white daylight.

  • @Thegreyraccoon i will check that out thanks for the info

  • Great video! The apple tree seem to be doing so well. All your plants are grown in soil, right? Have you tried growing in hydro? I also would like to thank you for all the gardening tips that you shared, specifically about the proper distance of the plants to the lights. Thanks so much. I hope you will keep on producing great videos about gardening :)
