@2011VMICadet I am class of '76. In 1972, we got to fire Vietnam-vintage M16A1's (that war was still going on). Two 20-round magazines each - one semi, one fullauto. About a third of them were in the racks, jammed, and we had to wait turns for one that worked. Mine was a gem...first time I ever got to 'rock n'roll,' and was rather proud of my trigger control, was able to do two-and-three-shot bursts. We also got to fire the M14, semi only.
Thanks for the memories!

@2011VMICadet nice...tny for the reply...but still sutch a short range can't mimic the effect of the wind and gravity on the bullet...still better then no trigger time I guess :P

It was 25m, yes, but we shoot at targets that simulate ranges up to 400m. The silhouettes on the paper targets vary in size depending on what range you want to mimic, the 400m silhouettes are about the size of a cell phone, so it's 25m shooting but shooting at very small targets, which simulates longer range.

Yes it was, that was my Rat room back in 07-08. Alpha Company room, best room on that side of OB for sure.
