  • I want the lyrics for this song, but can't find them anywhere =(

  • Is that Joe Sanders singing at the end? It sure sounds like him!

  • Victors of that period sound so much better than equivalent HMV pressings. Far less surface noise (the notorious HMV cotton flock caused a cracquele effect, sounding like frying bacon) even on well-worn records. German Electrola, part of the same family, made laminated records (like American and British Columbia) and are near silent too.

  • Great tuba work which was a hallmark of these great old bands. Glad younger

people are discovering this tuneful music all over again. I've loved it since

listening to my Dad's 1920's-30s records back in the 1940s. No faking it here

with synths or overdubs. These guys were MUSICIANS!

  • "Leaving the smiling skies" was probably a code for the traders to slowly sell the stocks on the stockmarket.

  • @rojoknox , It is take 2.

  • @Prozoot : No yawns from this "Victor Freak"! Have been trying to acquire Coon-Sanders' only V-38K issue for years and here you've posted one side of it...along with an unissued tune! What take of BVE 57498 is this? Discographical data, PUH-LEEZE! Thanks so much for posting.

  • SUPERB MAN THX 4 POSTING

  • love the "ain't you baby" cut. it is so good to find such wonderful music sounding so good. thank you.

  • Wow, what a great luck to find it! Before I only heard Benny Meroff's instrumental version and loved it a lot. It's just awesome to find another version, especially with vocal! Thank you! "Ain't you Baby" was a nice bonus ;)
