They are less vulnerable if ran as administrator which most windows users log in as. If you log in as a restricted user the impact is less. Funny how both are open source and rated as "safer". Just switch OS. Simple

There is an addon called TinyMenu. go search in google.

Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player are the 2 most vulnerable applications that Windows uses.
Switch to Firefox and VLC Player, permanently.
Every time you open IE or WMP your risking getting a virus/malware.

Were you using tab mix pulse? When I upgraded firefox 3.5 it told me that tab mix pulse was not compilable.
