Video Tribute to Inari the Arctic Fox.

Our sweet little female arctic fox Inari passed away after a fight with Christmas. We don't know what they were fighting about but they were both torn up pretty bad. Inari didn't make it through the night and Christmas had to have surgery. After the surgery we learned Christmas has a hormonal inbalance which is what led to his unusual behavior. The poor fox didn't understand what he did and has been looking for Inari since she died. It's a very sad and unexepcted thing to see the two of them so happy and loving and then go to this. The loss of Inari is heartbreaking but to watch Christmas feeling so sad is even worse.
As I put this video together Christmas is lying in a crate next to me recovering from his surgery. We have to keep him inside to keep pests away and keep his injuries clean, which is even harder on him because he just wants to go back to normal.
I heard the song in this video "Things Left Unsaid" by Disciple for the first time a few weeks ago and it seemed the most fitting song for how I feel. It's hard to understand how quickly and drastically things can change. There are parts where the song matched up almost perfectly with the video clips which was kind of cool, but made it so much harder for me to watch.
I've got my fingers crossed Christmas willl pull through and I hope wherever Inari is she's happy.

Yes they do. Thank you. Christmas is doing so much better! We've been working a lot with him and he's improved more than we could've ever imagined! :) I'll be posting a new video of him in his summer coat soon.

it is proof that even animals can love deeply~!! someone let my breeding pair of huskies out of their kennel a couple of years ago and the female was hit and killed... the male stayed by her side in the middle of the road and when we took him home, he howl for more the a week straight~!!! i am soo sorry for your loss... i understand~!!

I understand, I mean when a puppy I had died, I was heartbroken, however his death also caused me to want to work with animals more, because the feeling I had when I was caring for him was indescribable. It just seemed like the animal came apart of me, and I became a part of him.

I'm all teared up lolz. Even if he's feeling better, that's the saddest story I've heard in a long time, poor guy must be so lost and lonely, it's very painful, and I can't help but wish it had never happened.

Im sorry you lost your fox, she was also very pretty, im in the process of looking into getting my own red fox and ive read a lot of sites saying its difficult but im willing to make the sacrafice, Ive also read on Sybil's pages about the comments left by another youtube member about the way you kept your foxes, im sorry that comment upset you and i hope you feel better about it, also i hope Christmas gets well and soon =D -Dylan
