Appendicitis for Dummies

If you think you have appendicitis, this is what it will probably feel like, and here in this video is what you need to do...

This is a true story. I had appendicitis in 2002, when I was 14. Instead of getting it out right away, even when I was so sure I had it, I went to my school play rehearsal instead for six hours. When I finally convinced my parents I needed to go to the hospital, the doctor who saw me said I probably had gas pains and told me to go home. Then, I threw up three times when I got home, so we went back. I was admitted at 4 a.m., 24 hours after I woke up with stabbing pains. I had my appendix out around noon. Then, I was in the hospital for about five days, because my appendix exploded before they could remove it during surgery. I missed the school play, and some guy played my role instead. To avoid a lame story like this, follow the instructions in this video if you think you have appendicitis.

i had my apendicitic taken out on monday on my recovery its hard for me to talk and walk is tha usually normal? cause i never had surgery before this was my first time

@XxxTwiinkiiexxX In what way is it hard for you to talk? I'm assuming you're taking pain meds so if your speech is slurred or you don't feel up to talking, that could be why. And yes, it's normal for it to be hard to walk. It's only been a few days, so don't worry, it'll get easier in the next week or so.

i've been having pains in my lower abdomen for about a month now. it's off and on constantly during the day and it's notl like anything i've had before. it's definitely not gas cramps or any other types of cramps. it hasn't been a very bad pain, but i still notice it and it seems to be getting worse. lately it's been a fairly sharp pain. it's sort of on my left side but mostly my right and i haven't had any other symptoms. can you have appendicitis for this long without any other symptoms?

@ReSpekt9845 It will usually rupture within 24 to 72 hours at most from the time you start to notice symptoms. You should go to the doctor anyway to rule out anything else that could be a serious problem.

so,my mom and my sisterinlaw and my brother all say that it is not a Appendicitis but it feels like one,iv looked up every thing and almost thought it was my kidney's but it doesnt seem like it it seems more like Appendicitis,more and more the pain is on and off but i dont want to eat i feel nausea and loss of appetite and the pain is getting worse every time i cough or breath i dont know what to do :(

out of nowhere today, i got these horrible stabbing, sharp pains in my middle right part of my stomach and i got really naseaus, and it feels strange to eat. i think i have a fever because i DO NOT feel well at all, but im afraid to go to the hospital because if its not this, i will look stupid O.o

Mine started out feeling like a stomach ache in my higher stomach. I had loss of appetite and threw up cause I thought I had a stomach bug. But I never felt pain in my appendix until hours later when I was already at the hospital. It wasn't that scary, cause the pain hurts so bad that you want it out. But I couldn't even talk I felt so sick.

I couldn't walk for a while but I can now but I still think I should go to the hospital because I heard this is really serious and I don't wanna, like die or something.
